2026학년도 신학기 첫날 설동호 대전시교육감이 둔곡초중·대덕고를 방문하며 학교 현장 지원에 나섰다.
설동호 교육감은 둔곡초중학교에서 학생들을 맞이하며 활기찬 새 학년을 응원하고, 간담회서 학교 여건과 돌봄 프로그램 운영 현황을 점검했다.
대전 최초 유치원·초·중 통합학교인 둔곡초중은 초1·2학년 맞춤 돌봄과 방과후 프로그램으로 대기 수요를 해소하며 안전한 학교 생활을 지원 중이다.
이어 AI·디지털 연구학교 대덕고를 찾아 교원 격려와 수업 사례 공유에 나섰다.
대덕고는 디지털 교육혁신 선도학교와 연계해 교사가 AI·디지털 자료를 활용한 자율 수업을 실천, 학생 역량 강화와 교사 역할 변화 모델을 개발한다.
교육감은 현장 의견을 청취하며 지속 지원 방안을 논의, AI 시대 인재 양성 기반을 다졌다.
대전시교육청은 AI교육 선도학교(20교)·융합교육 중심고(4교) 등으로 디지털 소양 함양을 확대 중이다.
설동호 교육감은 “교육가족의 헌신에 감사드리며, 작은 현장 목소리에도 귀 기울여 안전·건강한 성장 환경을 만들겠다”고 밝히고, “대전 학생들이 AI·디지털 시대를 선도하는 세계 인재로 성장하도록 역량 집중”하겠다고 강조했다.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education is expanding its digital literacy program, including through AI education pilot schools (20 schools) and convergence education-focused high schools (4 schools).
