[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 강기윤 전 남동발전 사장이 창원을 위해 다시 신발 끈을 묶었다. 도의원 두 번, 국회의원 두 번, 그리고 최근까지 남동발전을 이끌었던 강기윤 전 사장이, ‘경영자’로서 창원의 해법을 제시하겠다며 출사표를 던졌다. 경남언론협회가 지난 6일 그의 진솔한 속내를 들어봤다.
◆ “창원은 이제 ‘행정’이 아닌 ‘경영’이 필요할 때”
△자서전 제목이 <CEO 강기윤, 창원을 경영하라>입니다. 어떤 의미입니까?
지금의 행정은 4차 산업혁명 시대에 다소 구태의연한 측면이 있습니다. 이제 자치단체도 경영 마인드를 가져야 합니다. 창의와 도전 정신으로 무장해 기업처럼 적극적인 행정을 펼칠 때 일자리가 늘고 지역 경제가 삽니다. 제가 창업가로서, 또 공공기관 CEO로서 쌓은 경험을 시정에 녹여내 ‘일자리 시장’이 되겠다는 의지를 담았습니다.
△남동발전 사장 재임 시절, 짧은 기간에도 성과가 많았다고 들었습니다.

△‘일자리 시장’을 슬로건으로 내건 이유는 무엇입니까?
모든 문제의 근본은 일자리입니다. 일자리가 있어야 세수도 늘고 복지도 가능합니다. 저는 창원을 ‘에너지 자족 도시’이자 ‘청정 에너지 수도’로 만들 계획입니다. 산단 태양광과 영농형 태양광, 해상풍력을 통해 나오는 수익을 시민들에게 나누는 ‘햇빛·바람 연금’ 프로젝트를 준비 중입니다. 15세 이상 경제활동 인구 50만 명에게 단계적으로 연 100만 원 수준의 연금을 드리는 거대한 설계를 실현하겠습니다.
