브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 국세청이 최근 유류 가격 상승을 틈탄 불법 유류 유통 행위에 대한 집중 점검에 나선다.
국세청은 10일 고유가 상황에 편승해 폭리를 취하는 불법 유류 유통을 차단하기 위해 이날부터 전국 7개 지방국세청과 133개 세무서 인력 300여명을 투입해 현장 확인 중심의 점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 점검에서는 석유류 무자료 거래와 위장·가공 거래, 고가 판매 후 매출을 축소 신고하는 등 불성실 신고 업체가 집중적으로 확인될 예정이다. 또한 고유가 상황에서 발생할 수 있는 가짜석유 제조·유통과 면세유 부당 유출 여부도 함께 점검 대상에 포함된다.
국세청은 점검 과정에서 세금 탈루 행위가 확인될 경우 즉시 세무조사로 전환해 엄정 대응한다는 방침이다.
이번 현장 점검은 실효성 확보를 위해 한국석유관리원과 공동으로 진행된다.
국세청은 이와 함께 석유제품 최고가격제 지정이나 유류세율 인하, 매점매석 고시 등에 대비해 정유사 등의 재고량 조사도 사전에 준비하고 있다고 밝혔다. 관련 사업자들에게는 적정 반출량과 재고량을 유지해 줄 것을 안내할 계획이다.
국세청 관계자는 "고유가 상황에 편승해 소비자 부담을 가중시키고 시장 질서를 교란하는 행위에 대해 지속적인 현장 확인과 세무조사, 관계 부처 합동 점검을 통해 대응하겠다"며 "국민 생활 안정과 공정한 시장 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다"고 말했다.
