【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시교육청이 학생들의 자기 이해와 진로 설계를 지원하기 위해 ‘진(학)·취(업)·적(성) 진로검사 주간’을 처음으로 운영한다.
교육청에 따르면, 지난 9일부터 다음 달 17일까지를 ‘진로검사 주간’으로 정하고, 2026학년도 신학기부터 각 학교가 이 기간 중 한 주를 선택해 진로검사를 실시할 계획이다.
이번 프로그램은 중학교 전 학년과 일반계 고등학교 1학년 학생을 대상으로 진행된다. 학생들은 3종 내외의 진로 심리검사를 통해 자신의 적성과 흥미를 파악하게 된다. 검사 결과는 학생 맞춤형 진로 상담과 학업 설계 자료로 활용된다.
특히 올해는 교육부의 진로정보망인 ‘커리어넷’에 새로 도입된 ‘진로실행력 검사’를 전국에서 처음으로 권장·도입했다. 이 검사는 계획 수립, 행동 실천, 실천 지속, 진로 탄력성 등 학생들의 진로 실행 역량을 분석해 성장 방향을 제시한다는 점이 특징이다.
교육청은 학생들이 언제든 검사 결과를 확인하고 진로 정보를 탐색할 수 있도록 커리어넷 모바일 앱 활용도를 높이기로 했다. 학교 수업용 1인 1디바이스에 앱 설치를 지원하고, 가정통신문을 통해 학부모에게도 설치 안내를 제공해 학교와 가정이 함께 진로 교육을 이어갈 수 있도록 할 방침이다.
강은희 교육감은 “진로검사는 학생이 스스로에게 ‘무엇을 하고 싶은가’라는 깊은 질문을 던져보는 과정”이라며 “이번 진로검사 주간을 통해 학생들이 자신의 강점과 가능성을 발견하고, 스스로 미래를 설계하는 힘을 길러가길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
