【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=이재숙 대구시의원이 대구시 안심뉴타운 일대 교통 인프라 문제를 지적하며, 대형 아울렛 유치에 따른 선제적 교통대책 수립을 촉구했다.
이 의원은 10일 열린 대구시의회 제323회 임시회 5분 자유발언에서 “안심뉴타운 북편의 도로 단절 문제와 대형 상업시설 유치 등으로 향후 교통수요가 크게 증가할 수 있다”며 “이를 동시에 고려한 종합적인 교통대책이 반드시 필요하다”고 강조했다.
현재 안심뉴타운 북편 도시계획도로 일부 구간이 실효되면서 도로망이 끊어진 상황이다. 이로 인해 제한된 도로에 교통이 몰리면서 출퇴근 시간과 주말마다 상습 정체가 반복되고 있다는 게 이 의원의 지적이다.
특히 신세계 프리미엄 아울렛이 인근에 들어설 경우 교통량이 한층 늘어날 것으로 예상된다. 더불어 율하교 동편네거리 입체화 사업까지 동시에 추진될 경우 공사 지연 또는 공정이 겹치는 상황에서 교통 혼잡 우려도 커지고 있다.
이 의원은 이에 따라 ▲공영주차장 확보 ▲셔틀버스 운영 ▲대중교통 연계 강화 등 당장 시행 가능한 교통대책 마련을 주문했다. 아울러 교통 발생량을 재분석해 북편 도로를 연결하고, 도로망을 확충하는 등 실질적인 보완책도 필요하다고 덧붙였다.
또, 율하교 동편 고가도로 사업이 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 공정 관리와 예산 확보에도 만전을 기해, 공사 지연으로 인한 주민 불편이 발생하지 않도록 해야 한다고 강조했다.
이 의원은 “신세계 아울렛 유치는 지역 발전의 기회가 될 수 있지만, 교통 인프라가 뒷받침되지 않으면 주민 불편만 커질 수 있다”며 “안심 지역이 누구나 찾아와 정착할 수 있는 도시로 성장하도록 대구시가 책임감 있게 선제적 교통대책을 마련해야 한다”고 밝혔다.
