【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 지역 대학생들의 감염병 예방과 학업 지원을 위해 실습 전 예방접종 및 검사 비용 지원 사업을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 의료기관 실습이 필수적인 보건 관련 학과 학생들이 실습 전 받아야 하는 예방접종과 결핵 검사 비용 부담을 덜어주기 위해 마련됐다.
지난해 처음 시행됐으며, 첫해 20명의 대학생이 지원을 받아 실습 준비에 도움을 받았다.
지원 대상은 간호학과, 물리치료학과, 응급구조학과 등 보건 관련 학과에 재학 중인 대학생 가운데 주민등록상 주소지가 증평군인 학생이다.
신청일 기준 1년 이상 증평군에 주민등록을 두고 있는 재학생이면 대학 소재지와 관계없이 지원받을 수 있다.
군은 사업 대상자가 누락되지 않도록 전국 대학을 대상으로 공문을 발송하고 현수막 게시 등 다양한 홍보 활동을 병행할 계획이다.
특히 개학 시기에 맞춰 지역 내 대학 보건계열 학과를 중심으로 안내를 강화해 사업 참여를 높인다는 방침이다.
아울러 지역 대학생 지원 정책을 통해 청년층의 지역 정착과 전입을 유도하는 효과도 기대하고 있다.
지원을 희망하는 학생은 병·의원에서 예방접종과 결핵 검사를 완료한 뒤 1년 이내 소속 학과 행정실 또는 증평군보건소 예방접종실에 신청서와 영수증 등 구비서류를 제출하면 된다.
조미정 소장은 “보건계열 대학생 실습 전 예방접종비 지원 사업은 감염병 예방뿐 아니라 학생과 가정의 경제적 부담을 덜어주는 의미 있는 정책”이라며 “앞으로도 지역 인재가 안정적으로 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 정책을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
