대전서부교육지원청이 지역 내 교육 취약 학생들의 복합적인 위기 상황을 해소하기 위해 지자체와 협력 체계를 대폭 강화한다. 서부교육지원청은 10일부터 이틀간 서구청 및 유성구청과 순차적으로 업무협약을 체결하고, 학생 중심의 촘촘한 통합지원망 구축에 나섰다.
이번 협약은 올해 3월부터 전면 시행된 ‘학생맞춤통합지원법’에 대응하기 위한 선제적 조치다. 학습 결손은 물론 정서적 불안, 열악한 가정환경 등 여러 문제를 동시에 겪는 학생들을 돕기 위해 교육지원청과 지자체가 각자의 자원을 하나로 모으기로 한 것이다.
특히 서부교육지원청과 각 구청의 ‘드림스타트’ 간 협력이 공식화되면서 위기 학생 발굴부터 사례 관리, 정서 지원에 이르기까지 모든 과정이 유기적으로 연결된다.
기관 간의 칸막이를 허물고 정보를 실시간으로 공유함으로써, 지원이 시급한 학생들을 조기에 찾아내고 개별 상황에 맞는 최적의 솔루션을 제공하는 기반을 마련했다는 평가다.
