브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹이 지난해 완성차 시장에서 영업이익 기준 글로벌 2위에 올랐다.
11일 완성차 업계에 따르면 현대차그룹(현대차·기아·제네시스)은 지난해 매출 300조3954억원, 영업이익 20조5460억원을 달성했다.
지난해 영업익 89억유로(약 15조2480억원)를 기록한 폭스바겐그룹을 제치면서 글로벌 2위로 오른 것은 이번이 처음이다.
폭스바겐그룹은 미국의 관세 부과와 포르쉐 제품 전략 조정에 따른 비용 증가, 환율 변동, 가격 및 판매 구성 변화 등으로 인해 실적이 감소했다.
반면 현대차그룹은 미국 관세 부담 등 악재에도 현지 생산 확대와 판매 전략 조정을 통해 영향을 최소화한 것으로 평가된다.
글로벌 완성차 시장 1위인 도요타그룹은 지난해 매출 50조4508억엔(약 470조2160억원), 영업이익 4조3128억엔(약 40조2000억원)을 기록했다.
영업이익률을 보면, 현대차그룹은 6.8%를 기록하며 도요타그룹(8.6%)에 이어 두 번째로 높은 수준을 나타냈다. 반면 폭스바겐그룹의 영업이익률은 2.8%에 그쳤다.
관세 부담 규모는 현대차그룹이 약 7조2000억원 수준이었으며, 도요타그룹은 약 1조2000억엔(약 11조1800억원)의 관세 비용을 부담한 것으로 나타났다.
