숙련된 인력이 다시 돌아오면서 농촌 인력난 해소는 물론 생산성 향상 효과까지 기대되고 있다.
11일 군에 따르면 이달부터 순차 입국하는 외국인 계절근로자는 도내 최대인 총 1001명이다.
국적별로는 캄보디아 561명, 라오스 418명(공공형 50명 포함), 결혼이민자 본국 가족 초청 22명 등이다.
캄보디아 근로자의 72%인 402명은 지난해에 이어 올해도 순차적으로 재입국한다.
2022년부터 방문한 외국인 계절근로자의 재방문율이 최대 40%대를 넘지 못했던 것과 비교해도 큰 폭으로 상승한 수치다.
전체 외국인 계절근로자의 재방문율은 2022년 43.8%, 2023년 32%, 2024년 21%, 2025년 29% 등이다.
