충남도가 사회서비스 인프라가 부족한 취약지역 어르신들을 위해 가사와 이동, 위생을 아우르는 전방위적 통합 돌봄 서비스를 선보인다.
충남도에 따르면 보건복지부가 주관한 ‘2026년 사회서비스 취약지 공모사업’에 최종 선정됨에 따라 국비 5,400만 원을 확보하고, 예산군을 거점으로 돌봄 사각지대 해소에 본격적으로 나선다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 지리적 한계나 인력 부족으로 사회서비스를 제대로 누리지 못했던 지역의 특성을 고려해 설계되었다.
충남도는 이용자인 어르신들의 실제 욕구를 반영하여 개별적으로 제공되던 서비스들을 하나의 패키지로 묶어 제공함으로써 정책 체감도를 높일 계획이다. 이에 따라 오는 4월부터 9개월간 국비와 지방비를 포함한 총 7,700만 원의 사업비가 현장에 투입된다.
통합 지원의 핵심은 가사·이동·위생 등 3대 생활 밀착형 서비스다. 먼저 가사 지원을 통해 일상생활에 어려움을 겪는 고령자와 장애인 가구에 청소와 세탁 등 재가 돌봄 서비스를 제공하여 쾌적한 주거 환경을 돕는다.
이동 지원 분야에서는 병원 진료나 공공기관 방문과 같은 필수적인 외출을 보조해 어르신들의 사회적 고립을 막고 생활 편의를 증진시킨다.
마지막으로 위생 지원을 통해 방문 목욕과 이·미용 서비스를 제공함으로써 어르신들의 건강을 관리하고 질병 위험 요소를 사전에 차단할 방침이다.
충남도는 이번 사업이 지역 내 사회서비스 공급 불균형을 완화하고 취약계층의 삶의 질을 실질적으로 개선하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
충남도 관계자는 이번 공모 선정을 바탕으로 취약지역의 돌봄 안전망을 더욱 공고히 구축하고, 지역사회가 함께 어르신을 돌보는 선순환 체계를 강화해 나가겠다고 강조했다.
