앞으로 충남도민을 비롯한 전 국민은 자신과 상관없는 지역의 재난문자로 밤잠을 설치는 불편을 덜게 됐다.
충남도가 제안한 ‘재난문자 송출 범위 세분화’ 건의를 행정안전부가 전격 수용하면서, 재난문자 발송 체계가 기존 시군 단위에서 읍면동 단위로 정교해졌기 때문이다.
기존 재난문자 시스템은 대규모 재난이나 대피 명령을 알리는 '위급재난문자'와 '긴급재난문자'**의 경우, 해당 시군 전역에 일괄 발송되는 방식이었다.
