영남대병원 박철현 교수, 대한당뇨발학회 동계학술대회 ‘최우수 학술상’ 수상

이번 학술대회에서 박철현 교수와 정형외과 조승재 전공의는 ‘허벅지에서 채취한 자가지방조직의 세포외기질을 이용한 당뇨발 궤양의 치료’를 주제로 연구 결과를 발표해 학문적 우수성과 임상적 활용 가능성을 높이 평가받았다.

당뇨발 궤양은 당뇨병 환자에게 발생하는 대표적인 합병증으로, 상처 치유가 지연되고 감염 위험이 높아 심한 경우 절단으로 이어질 수 있어 적극적인 치료와 관리가 필요한 질환이다.

이번 연구는 환자의 허벅지에서 채취한 자가지방조직에서 세포외기질을 추출해 당뇨발 궤양 치료에 적용하는 방법을 제시한 것으로, 손상된 조직의 재생을 촉진하고 상처 치유를 돕는 새로운 치료 가능성을 제시했다는 점에서 주목받고 있다.
