【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국민의힘이 6·3 지방선거를 앞두고 대구·경북(TK) 지역 공천 신청 접수를 마감한 결과 광역단체장과 기초단체장을 포함해 133명이 공천 경쟁에 나선 것으로 집계됐다. 여기에 대구시의원과 경북도의원 공천 신청자 184명까지 포함하면 지방선거 공천 경쟁 규모는 더욱 커질 전망이다.
국민의힘에 따르면 광역단체장 공천에는 대구시장 9명, 경북도지사 6명 등 총 15명이 신청했다.
대구시장 공천에는 유영하·윤재옥·주호영·추경호·최은석 국회의원 등 현역 의원 5명을 비롯해 이진숙 전 방송통신위원장, 이재만 전 동구청장, 홍석준 전 국회의원, 김한구 전 달성군 새마을협의회 감사 등이 도전장을 냈다.
경북도지사 공천에는 이철우 현 도지사를 비롯해 김재원 국민의힘 최고위원, 임이자 국회의원, 최경환 전 경제부총리, 이강덕 전 포항시장, 백승주 전 국회의원이 신청했다.
기초단체장 공천 경쟁도 치열하다.
대구에서는 9개 구·군 단체장 공천에 총 38명이 신청했다. 중구청장에는 류규하, 정장수 등 2명이 이름을 올렸다. 동구청장에는 권기일, 배기철, 서호영, 우성진, 이재혁, 정해용, 차수환, 비공개 1명 등 8명이 신청했다. 서구청장에는 권오상, 김대현, 송영현, 이종배 등 4명이 공천 경쟁에 나섰다.
남구청장에는 조재구 현 구청장이 단독 신청했다. 북구청장에는 김규학, 김지만, 김진상, 박갑상, 이근수, 이동욱, 이상길, 하병문 등 8명이 경쟁한다. 수성구청장에는 김대권, 김대현, 이진훈, 전경원, 황시혁 등 5명이 신청했다.
달서구청장에는 권근상, 김용판, 김형일, 손인호, 조홍철, 홍성주 등 6명이 공천을 신청했으며, 달성군수에는 최재훈 군수가 단독으로 신청했다. 군위군수에는 김영만, 김진열, 신태환 등 3명이 공천 경쟁에 나섰다.
경북에서는 22개 시·군 단체장 공천에 총 80명이 신청했다.
포항시장 공천에는 공원식, 김병욱, 김일만, 모성은, 문충운, 박대기, 박승호, 박용선, 이칠구, 안승대 등 10명이 신청해 가장 치열한 경쟁 구도를 보였다.
경주시장에는 박병훈, 여준기, 이창화, 정병두, 주낙영 등 5명이 공천을 신청했다. 김천시장에는 나영민, 배낙호 등 2명이 도전장을 냈다. 안동시장에는 권광택, 권기창, 권백신, 김의승 등 4명이 경쟁한다.
구미시장에는 김장호, 임명배 등 2명이 신청했으며 영주시장에는 박성만, 송명달, 유정근, 최영섭, 황병직 등 5명이 공천 경쟁에 나섰다. 영천시장에는 김병삼, 김섭 등 2명이 신청했다.
상주시장에는 강영석, 남영숙, 안경숙, 안재민, 황천모 등 5명이 신청했고 문경시장에는 김학홍, 신현국, 엄원식 등 3명이 이름을 올렸다. 경산시장에는 조현일 현 시장이 단독 신청했다.
예천군수에는 김학동, 도기욱, 안병윤 등 3명이 신청했으며 청도군수에는 김하수, 이선희 등 2명이 공천 경쟁에 나섰다. 영양군수에는 권영택, 김병곤, 김석현, 오도창 등 4명이 신청했다.
봉화군수에는 김동룡, 박만우, 박현국, 최기영, 홍성구 등 5명이 신청했으며 의성군수에는 강성주, 이영훈, 이충원, 장근호, 최유철, 최익봉, 김동현 등 7명이 경쟁한다.
청송군수에는 우병윤, 윤경희, 윤종도 등 3명이 신청했고 영덕군수에는 강웅원, 김광열, 박병일, 이희진, 조주홍 등 5명이 공천 경쟁에 나섰다. 울진군수에는 손병복, 전찬걸 등 2명이 신청했다.
울릉군수에는 김병수, 남진복 등 2명이 신청했으며 성주군수에는 이병환, 이상길, 전화식, 정영길, 최성곤 등 5명이 이름을 올렸다. 칠곡군수에는 김재욱, 한승환 등 2명이 신청했고 고령군수에는 이남철 군수가 단독 신청했다.
지방의회 공천 경쟁도 본격화됐다.
대구시의원 공천에는 비례를 포함해 총 74명이 신청했으며 경북도의원 공천에는 비례를 포함해 110명이 신청했다.
대구에서는 북구와 달서구, 수성구 등 인구가 많은 지역을 중심으로 다자 경쟁이 형성됐고, 경북에서는 포항·구미·경산·경주 등 주요 도시 선거구에서 복수 후보가 공천 경쟁에 나선 것으로 나타났다.
지역 정치권에서는 보수 지지세가 강한 TK 지역 특성상 “공천이 곧 당선”이라는 인식이 강해 당내 경선이 사실상 본선과 같은 의미를 갖는다는 분석이 나온다.
국민의힘은 앞으로 서류 심사와 면접, 여론조사 등을 거쳐 경선 지역을 확정한 뒤 공천 절차를 본격적으로 진행할 계획이다.

In Daegu, a total of 38 people applied for nominations for the heads of the nine districts and counties.
