대전시의회 복지환경위원장 이효성 의원(국민의힘·대덕구1)이 제9회 전국동시지방선거 대덕구 제1선거구(오정·대화·법1·2동) 시의원 예비후보로 등록했다.
11일 예비후보를 등록한 이효성 의원은 “의정 경험으로 지역 현안 해결과 시민 삶 향상을 이어가겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
이어 대덕구를 “산업과 생활이 공존하는 발전 잠재력 지역”으로 평가하며, 주민 의견 수렴과 생활 밀착 정책 추진을 약속했다.
이 의원은 현역 의원으로서 직업계고 활성화, 유보통합 특별위 구성, 대전형 사회복지협의회 설립 등 복지·환경 분야 성과를 강조했다.
재선에 도전하고 있는 이효성 의원은 지난 2022년 제8회 지방선거에서 국민의힘 후보로 당선되면서 대전시의회에 입성하는데 성공했다.
의정 활동 기간 이 의원은 지방자치대상 행정·의정 최우수상을 수상한 바 있어 그 의 재선 도전에 지역 민심의 향배가 관심을 모으고 있다.
