[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시설공단이 기온 상승으로 지반이 약해지는 해빙기를 맞아 시민들이 이용하는 공공시설물의 안전사고를 선제적으로 차단하기 위해 대대적인 전수 점검에 나섰다.
공단은 지난 3일부터 일주일간 전 사업장을 대상으로 ‘해빙기 시설물 안전사고 예방 특별 점검’을 실시했다고 12일 밝혔다. 이번 점검은 각 사업부서별로 자체 점검반을 편성해 현장 밀착형으로 진행됐다.
이번 점검은 해빙기 지반 약화로 발생할 수 있는 사고를 예방하기 위해 시설물 구조 안전과 화재 예방, 설비 작동 상태 등을 중심으로 진행됐다. 특히 건축물 주변 지반침하 여부와 절개지·옹벽 상태, 토사 유실 등 시설 구조 안전을 중점적으로 살폈다.
공단은 이번 점검 과정에서 발견된 경미한 위험 요인은 현장에서 즉시 시정 조치했으며, 예산이 투입되는 보수·보강 사항에 대해서는 별도 계획을 수립해 신속히 추진할 방침이다.
