국민의힘 대전광역시당 공천관리위원회가 3월 11일 제9회 전국동시지방선거 기초의원 후보자 공천 신청 접수를 마감했다.
이번 접수에는 모두 59명이 지원했으며, 이 중 비공개 신청자를 제외한 여성 후보 17명과 청년 후보 17명이 포함돼 각각 약 29%의 비중을 차지한 것으로 집계됐다.
대전시당은 지난 3월 1일부터 4일까지 공천 신청 공고를 내고, 광역·기초단체장과 광역의원, 기초의원 순서로 일정에 맞춰 접수를 받았다.
특히 이번에는 국민의힘이 도입한 온라인 공천 접수 시스템이 활용돼 PC나 모바일을 통해 자격 검토부터 신청서 작성, 서류 제출까지 비대면으로 이루어졌다.
지원자들이 제출한 자료는 AI와 데이터 기반 분석 기법으로 평가되어 당 기여도와 지역 사회 활동 등이 수치화됐고, 이 자료는 공천관리위원회가 심사에 참고할 예정이다. 이를 통해 공천 심사의 객관성과 투명성을 높이겠다는 계획이다.
향후에는 서류 심사, 면접, 공직 후보자 역량평가(PPAT) 등이 진행되어 후보자들의 역량과 자질을 종합 평가한다.
이은권 위원장은 “여성과 청년 후보들의 적극적인 참여가 돋보였다”며 “데이터 분석과 온라인 접수 시스템을 활용해 공정하고 투명한 심사를 하겠다”고 말했다.

The People Power Party's Daejeon Metropolitan City Chapter's nomination management committee closed applications for local council candidate nominations for the 9th nationwide simultaneous local elections on March 11th.
