【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 충북에서 옥천군에 이어 두 번째로 ‘기본사회 지방정부협의회’에 공식 가입하며 모든 군민이 인간다운 삶을 누릴 수 있는 기본사회 실현에 본격적으로 나섰다.
‘기본사회 지방정부협의회’는 기본소득, 기본주거, 기본금융 등 국민의 기본권 보장을 위한 정책을 발굴하고 법제화를 추진하기 위해 지방자치단체 간 협력을 강화하는 협의체다.
군은 이번 협의회 가입을 통해 지방정부 차원의 사회안전망 구축 경험을 공유하고, 보편적 복지 모델을 전국적으로 확산하는 데 선도적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
군은 이미 △전 군민 무료버스 △생거진천형 통합돌봄 △복지·농업 연계 케어팜 등 다양한 정책을 통해 기본사회의 핵심 가치를 담은 혁신적인 복지 정책을 추진하며 전국적인 주목을 받아왔다.
특히 생거진천형 통합돌봄 사업은 전담 조직을 중심으로 의료·요양·돌봄·주거 서비스를 통합 연계해 퇴원 환자와 고령자가 지역사회에서 안정적으로 생활할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업으로, 이재명 대통령 복지 공약 1호로 채택되며 정책적 의미를 인정받았다.
