이춘희 더불어민주당 세종시장 예비후보가 현 시정을 “아마추어 행정이 불러온 참사”라며 강하게 비판했다.
이 예비후보는 12일 입장문을 통해 “세종시가 시 출범 이후 처음으로 ‘모라토리움’ 가능성까지 거론되는 이례적인 상황에 빠졌다”며 “하반기 필수경비 700억 원조차 확보하지 못한 것은 행정 실패의 결과”라고 주장했다.
그는 특히 부동산 경기 침체로 인한 세입 급감과 방만한 지출 구조를 세종시 재정 위기의 핵심 원인으로 꼽았다.
이어 “과거 3천억 원대였던 취득세가 올해는 1천억 원대로 줄어들 전망인데, 세종시는 지출을 늘리며 재정 유연성을 잃었다”며 “부채 상승과 재정 부담이 동시에 확대되는 위험한 구조가 형성됐다”고 지적했다.
행정안전부 자료에 따르면 현재 세종시의 통합 유동부채 비율은 35%를 넘어섰고, 시민 1인당 채무도 120만 원을 초과했다.
이 예비후보는 “지금 필요한 것은 구호가 아닌 재정 정상화”라며 지출 구조 전면 정비 ,국비 확보 체계 강화 ,출자·출연기관 재정 점검 ,재정 투명성 강화 등을 해법으로 제시했다.
