낙후된 어촌 어항 정비 통한 새로운 어촌 발전의 출발

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 통영시가 11일 내지항 어촌뉴딜300사업 준공식을 갖고 낙후된 어촌 어항의 정비를 통한 새로운 어촌 발전의 출발을 알렸다. 

이날 행사에는 천영기 통영시장, 지역 기관단체장, 주민 등 100여명이 참석해 사업 준공을 축하하고 내지항의 새로운 미래를 함께 기원했다.

내지항 어촌뉴딜300사업은 2020년부터 2024년까지 총사업비 약 70억원이 투입된 해양수산부 공모사업으로 통영시 사량면 내지항 일원의 노후 어항시설과 생활환경을 개선하고 문화 관광 인프라를 확충해 주민 삶의 질 향상과 지역경제 활성화를 도모하기 위해 추진된 어촌 종합 정비사업이다.

이번 사업을 통해 내지다목적센터, 내지양조장, 대합실, 시니어카페 조성, 휴게공원 등 생활 문화 기반시설이 조성됐으며 물양장, 해수소통구 등 어항 기반시설 정비도 함께 이뤄졌다.

이를 통해 어업활동의 안전성과 편의성이 향상되고 주민 정주환경이 크게 개선될 것으로 기대된다.

특히 내지다목적센터는 주민 복지와 문화 교육 기능을 아우르는 복합공간으로 활용되며 내지양조장과 마을카페는 섬 관광과 연계한 지역 브랜드 형성 및 관광 활성화의 거점 역할을 할 것으로 전망된다.
