경기도 내 학교 현장에 인공지능(AI)을 중심으로 한 미래형 교육 모델이 뿌리내린다.
경기도교육청은 급변하는 디지털 환경에 발맞춰 학생들의 AI 활용 역량을 체계적으로 높이고자, 올해 총 200교를 ‘인공지능(AI) 중점학교’로 지정해 본격적인 운영에 나선다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 단순한 기술 교육을 넘어, 정규 교육과정 속에서 AI를 녹여내 학교 중심의 혁신적인 교수·학습 생태계를 구축하는 데 방점이 찍혀 있다.
도교육청이 선정한 200개 학교는 그 역할에 따라 세 가지 유형으로 나뉘어 각자의 영역에서 거점 역할을 수행한다. 가장 먼저 ‘선도형 학교’로 선정된 3곳은 AI 관련 교과 시수를 대폭 확대하고 전용 공간을 조성해 모델 학교로서의 기능을 담당한다. 초등은 68시간, 중등은 102시간 이상의 정보 수업을 편성하고, 고등학교는 매 학기 관련 과목을 개설해 깊이 있는 학습을 이끈다.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced that it will designate a total of 200 schools as "AI-Focused Schools" this year, launching full-scale operations to systematically enhance students' AI capabilities in response to the rapidly evolving digital environment. This project goes beyond simple technical education to focus on integrating AI into the regular curriculum, establishing an innovative, school-centered teaching and learning ecosystem.
