대전시교육청이 13일 충남기계공업고등학교에서 ‘2026년 대전 직업교육 추진계획 설명회’를 열고, 급변하는 산업 환경에 맞춘 올해의 직업교육 정책 방향을 제시했다.
현장에는 대전 지역 직업계고 교감과 부장교사, 교육청 관계자 등 60여 명이 참석했다.
이번 설명회는 ‘미래 역량을 디자인하는 창의융합형 기술인재 양성’을 목표로, 교육청이 추진 중인 중점 과제를 공유하고 학교 현장의 의견을 수렴하기 위해 마련됐다.
대전시교육청은 올해 미래 직업교육 지원 체계 구축 ,교육 여건 개선과 내실화 ,맞춤형 프로그램 운영 ,취업 지원 강화 등 4대 핵심 전략을 제시했다.
교육청은 이를 기반으로 협약형 특성화고 확대, 대전교육발전특구 중심의 희망인재 양성 사업, 산업 수요에 맞춘 학과 개편을 추진할 예정이다.
특히 학생들의 실무 역량 강화를 위해 안전하고 체계적인 현장실습과 글로벌 현장학습 기회를 확대하며, 교사 학습 공동체 활성화와 지역 거버넌스 강화로 직업교육 생태계를 한층 고도화한다는 계획이다.
대전시 직업교육은 이미 지난해 전국 취업률 3위, 유지취업률 1위를 기록하며 높은 성과를 거둔 바 있다. 교육청은 이러한 성과를 바탕으로 AI 기술 변화에 대응하는 혁신적 직업교육 체계를 구축하겠다는 목표를 세웠다.
김영진 대전시교육청 과학직업정보과장은 “AI 시대에 필요한 기술과 창의력을 겸비한 인재를 키우기 위해 지역과 학교가 협력할 것”이라며 “미래 산업 구조에 대응할 수 있는 교육 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education held a briefing session on the '2026 Daejeon Vocational Education Promotion Plan' at Chungnam Mechanical and Technical High School on the 13th, presenting this year's vocational education policy direction tailored to the rapidly changing industrial environment.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education presented four key strategies for this year: establishing a future vocational education support system, improving and strengthening educational conditions, operating customized programs, and strengthening employment support.
