인구 3만 명을 회복한 충남 청양군이 ‘청양투어패스’ 가맹점을 대폭 늘리며 지역 관광 소비 확산에 본격 시동을 걸었다.
청양군에 따르면 올해 초 신규 모집을 통해 19개 업소가 새롭게 참여하면서, 가맹점 수는 기존 35곳에서 54곳으로 확대됐다.
청양투어패스는 지역 주요 관광지 입장권과 음식·카페·체험시설 이용권을 한 장의 카드로 통합한 관광상품이다. 군은 가맹점 확충을 통해 여행객들이 보다 다양한 업소를 방문하고, 지역 경제에 직접적인 소비 효과가 이어지도록 유도하고 있다.
청양군 관계자는 “이번 가맹점 확대는 지역 상공인들의 참여가 높아진 결과”라며 “관광 소비가 골고루 분산돼 지역경제 파급력이 커질 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
특히 올해는 칠갑타워 야간 개장과 칠갑산천문대 재개관이 맞물리며, 투어패스의 실효성이 한층 강화될 전망이다. 상춘객이 몰리는 4월부터는 칠갑타워 운영시간을 오후 6시까지 연장하고, 5월 중순부터는 야간 경관 조명과 함께 오후 9시까지 운영된다.
오는 17일 재개관하는 칠갑산천문대까지 더해져, 관광객들은 낮에는 자연경관을 즐기고 밤에는 별빛 체험을 즐길 수 있는 청양형 체류관광을 경험하게 된다.
