유진그룹 계열 건설·레미콘 기업 동양이 국제표준 인증을 통해 윤리·준법경영 체계를 강화했다.
동양은 부패방지와 규범준수 경영시스템에 대한 국제표준인 ISO 37001(부패방지)과 ISO 37301(규범준수) 통합 인증을 획득했다고 12일 밝혔다.
동양은 지난 11일 서울 여의도 본사에서 인증서 수여식을 열었다. 행사에는 박주형 동양 대표이사를 비롯한 회사 임원진과 한국준법진흥원 관계자들이 참석했다.
ISO 37001은 기업 내 뇌물과 부패 행위를 예방·관리하기 위한 국제표준이며, ISO 37301은 법규와 내부 규정을 체계적으로 준수하기 위한 컴플라이언스 경영시스템 기준이다. 두 인증을 동시에 획득하면서 동양의 윤리·준법경영 체계가 국제 기준에 부합한다는 점을 공식적으로 인정받게 됐다.
동양은 인증 취득을 위해 내부 규정 정비와 컴플라이언스 리스크 관리 체계 구축에 나섰다. 또 내부 신고제도를 운영하고 임직원 윤리·준법 교육을 강화하는 한편 내부 통제와 모니터링 시스템도 확대했다.
동양 측은 이번 인증을 계기로 ESG 기반의 경영 체계를 한층 강화하겠다는 계획이다. 동양 관계자는 “윤리와 준법을 기반으로 한 투명한 경영 시스템을 구축해 이해관계자 신뢰를 높이고 지속가능한 기업으로 성장해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 동양은 건설과 레미콘 사업을 중심으로 국내 사회 인프라 구축에 참여해 왔으며, 앞으로도 준법경영 체계를 지속적으로 고도화할 방침이다.
Tongyang, an affiliate of Eugene Group, has strengthened its ethical and compliance management system by obtaining international standard certifications
The company announced on March 12 that it has secured integrated certification for the anti-bribery management system ISO 37001 and the compliance management system ISO 37301.
A certificate presentation ceremony was held on March 11 at the company’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul. The event was attended by Park Joo-hyung, CEO of Tongyang, along with executives from the company and officials from the Korea Compliance Institute.
ISO 37001 is an international standard designed to help organizations prevent and manage bribery and corruption, while ISO 37301 provides guidelines for establishing an effective compliance management system to ensure adherence to laws and internal regulations. By obtaining both certifications, Tongyang has demonstrated that its ethics and compliance framework meets global standards.
To achieve the certification, the company strengthened its overall compliance infrastructure by revising internal regulations, establishing a compliance risk management system, operating internal reporting channels, enhancing employee ethics training, and improving internal control and monitoring processes.
Company officials said the certification will serve as an important step in advancing the firm’s ESG-based management framework. “We will continue to strengthen transparent and responsible management systems to build trust with stakeholders and grow as a sustainable partner,” a company representative said.
Tongyang has been involved in building social infrastructure in Korea through its construction and ready-mixed concrete businesses and plans to further enhance its compliance management system going forward.
