【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=본격적인 영농철을 앞두고 충북 진천군이 농업인들의 일손을 돕고 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련한 농산업기계(굴삭기) 교육이 큰 관심 속에 마무리됐다.
군 농업기술센터는 지난 3월 10일부터 이틀간 농업인을 대상으로 농산업기계 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 농촌 현장에서 활용도가 높아지고 있는 굴삭기의 올바른 조작법과 안전 수칙을 전달해 농작업 효율을 높이고 사고를 예방하기 위해 추진됐다.
교육에는 총 85명의 농업인이 참여했으며, 이론 교육과 함께 실제 현장에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 실습 중심 교육이 진행됐다.
특히 농가에서 자주 필요한 농로 정비와 배수로 정비 작업 등 실무 중심 내용이 포함돼 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
굴삭기는 농작업 편의성을 크게 높여주는 장비이지만, 숙련되지 않은 사용자가 다룰 경우 대형 사고로 이어질 위험이 있어 체계적인 교육의 필요성이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔다.
군은 이번 교육이 농업인들의 기계 활용 능력 향상과 안전 의식 제고에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
장병옥 군 농촌지원과장은 “농기계는 농업 효율을 높이는 필수 장비이지만 무엇보다 안전 수칙 준수가 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 농업인들이 안전한 환경에서 농업에 전념할 수 있도록 실효성 있는 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
