이번 행사는 법무부 청소년범죄예방위원 증평지구협의회가 후원한 100만 원의 후원금으로 마련됐다.
후원금은 전액 식재료 구입에 사용돼 경로식당을 이용하는 어르신들에게 따뜻한 점심 식사를 제공하는 데 활용됐다.
이날 증평지구협의회 위원들은 경로식당 배식 봉사에도 참여해 어르신들에게 직접 식사를 전달하며 정을 나눴다.
연광영 회장은 “지역 어르신들에게 작은 보탬이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 후원을 결정했다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
