세종시가 지방대학 육성과 지역 인재 양성을 위한 라이즈(RISE) 사업 2년 차를 맞아, 성과 중심 운영과 신규 과제 도입으로 질적 성장을 모색한다.
이를 위해 세종시는 13일 세종공동캠퍼스에서 제1차 지방대학 및 지역균형인재 육성지원협의회를 개최하고, 2026년 세종 라이즈 시행계획을 확정했다고 밝혔다.
최민호 시장과 김희산 홍익대 세종캠퍼스 부총장 등 대학·산업계 관계자들이 참석한 가운데, 사업 고도화 방안이 논의됐다.
지난해 기반을 다진 데 이어 올해는 사업 구조를 재편해 실질 성과를 창출하는 데 집중한다.
대학 우수 자원을 활용한 강사 양성과 프로그램 개발을 뼈대로 한 ‘늘봄학교’가 신규 과제로 추가되며, 내년부터 세종 지역 초등학교에 프로그램을 제공해 교육 협력 체계를 구축한다.
시행계획에는 기존 4대 프로젝트·5개 단위과제에 초광역 협력, 세종형 공유대학 ‘한두리캠퍼스’ 활성화, 5+1 미래전략산업 생태계 강화 등이 반영됐다.
성과 관리를 위해 전문 평가위원회를 운영하고, 2025년 대학 실적에 따라 2026년 예산을 차등 환류해 공정성을 높인다.
지원 대학은 고려대·홍익대 세종캠퍼스, 한국영상대, 국립한밭대·충북대 공동캠퍼스 등 5곳이며, 총사업비는 182억 원이다.
최민호 시장은 회의 후 세종공동캠퍼스 학생들과 만나 “라이즈를 통해 대학·지역이 동반성장하는 혁신 모델을 완성하겠다”며 학업 애로사항을 청취했다.
