양 기관은 협약을 통해 대회 운영과 안전관리, 사업 수행, 행정 지원 등 대회 전반에 걸쳐 긴밀히 협력할 예정이다.
박광남 대한패러글라이딩협회장은 “단양에서 처음 개최되는 패러글라이딩 국제대회인 만큼 철저한 준비를 통해 성공적으로 대회를 치르겠다”고 말했다.
한편 ‘코리아 오픈 패러글라이딩 국제대회’는 패러글라이딩 국제대회 최초로 KBS N을 주관 방송사로 선정해 대회 현장을 방송 중계할 예정이다.
