브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아가 에너지 기업 토탈에너지스 윤활유(TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, 토탈에너지스)와 2031년까지 제휴 관계를 연장하기로 했다. 프랑스에 본사를 둔 토탈에너지스는 글로벌 석유·천연가스 기업으로 전 세계 120여개 국에 진출해 있다.
기아는 최근 경기도 용인시 오산교육센터에서 토탈에너지스와 5년 단위 글로벌 파트너십 계약연장 체결식을 개최했다고 16일 밝혔다. 이날 체결식에는 기아 황동환 오너십관리사업부장(상무), 토탈에너지스 엘로디 루스(Elodie Luce) 자동차부문 부사장 등이 참석했다.
2011년 글로벌 파트너십을 처음 맺은 기아와 토탈에너지스는 이번 재계약으로 2031년까지 20년간 장기적 파트너십을 공고히 하게 됐다. 양사는 지금까지 5년 단위로 3차례 재계약을 했다.
토탈에너지스는 기존 계약과 동일하게 앞으로 5년간 고품질 엔진오일을 경쟁력 있는 가격으로 기아의 전 세계 고객, 딜러에게 제공한다. 글로벌 고객만족도 개선 및 서비스경쟁력 강화를 위해 기아와 지난 15년간 실시한 공동 프로젝트와 마케팅 역시 이어간다. 하이브리드차를 포함한 친환경차 부문에서 협력 방향도 논의한다.
기아 황동환 오너십관리사업부장은 “토탈에너지스는 지난 15년간 기아의 소중한 파트너였다”며 “이번 재계약을 통해 고객 만족도를 높이고, 기아의 서비스 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 발판을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.
