대전 중구가 주민의 시각에서 지역사회 안전망을 촘촘하게 재설계하는 '주민 주도형 안전 도시' 조성에 본격적으로 나선다.
이를 위해 중구는 16일 여성친화도시 주민참여단을 대상으로 실질적인 지역 안전 정보를 지도화하기 위한 ‘우리동네 안전지도’ 제작 역량 강화 교육을 실시하며 사업의 첫 단추를 꿰었다.
이번 사업은 행정기관이 일방적으로 정보를 제공하던 기존 방식에서 벗어나, 지역 사정을 가장 잘 아는 주민들이 직접 현장을 누비며 생활 밀착형 안전 정보를 발굴한다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
주민참여단은 앞으로 동네 곳곳을 살피며 범죄 취약 지점이나 교통사고 위험 지역, 재난 발생 시 위험 요소 등을 직접 확인하고 이를 지도에 기록하는 역할을 수행한다.
제작될 안전지도에는 관내 CCTV와 보안등의 위치는 물론, 여성안심시설물과 비상 대피소 등 주민 생명과 직결된 통합 정보가 상세히 담길 예정이다. 이는 향후 지역의 안전 환경을 개선하고 주민들에게 실질적인 안전 가이드를 제공하는 소중한 기초 자료로 활용된다.
