[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 산청군은 어르신들의 건강하고 활기찬 노후를 위해 '무릎 인공관절 수술비 지원 대상을 대폭 확대한다고 16일 밝혔다.
산청군은 관련 조례 개정에 따라 지난 12일부터 그동안 적용해 왔던 소득 기준을 전격 삭제하고 지원 대상을 산청군에 거주하는 60세 이상 어르신으로 확대했다.
이번 확대 사업의 지원 대상은 신청일 기준 산청군에 12개월 이상 주소를 두고 있는 60세 이상 어르신으로 무릎 인공관절 치환술 의료비 중 본인부담금을 한쪽 무릎 기준 최대 100만원, 양쪽 최대 200만원까지 지원받을 수 있다.
다만, 혜택을 받기 위해서는 반드시 수술 전에 산청군보건의료원을 방문해 사업을 신청하고 대상자로 선정되어야 하고 수술을 이미 받은 후에는 사업 신청 또는 소급 적용이 되지 않는다.
일반적인 인공관절 수술에 한해 지원하며 시술이나 로봇수술, 타 법령이나 민간단체를 통해 지원을 통한 이중 지원은 불가능하다.
지원을 희망하는 어르신은 신분증과 수술 예정 의료기관에서 발급한 소견서 또는 의사진단서를 지참해 산청군보건의료원 건강관리과로 방문해 신청하면 된다.
사업은 올해 11월까지 선착순으로 진행되며 예산이 소진될 경우 조기에 종료될 수 있다.
산청군 관계자는 "무릎 통증은 어르신들의 삶의 질을 떨어뜨리는 주요 원인 중 하나인 만큼, 이번 소득 기준 폐지를 통해 더 많은 군민이 걸음의 활기를 되찾길 바란다"며 "앞으로도 군민이 체감할 수 있는 촘촘한 보건 행정 서비스를 펼쳐 나가겠다"고 말했다.
