【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=개혁신당이 제9회 전국동시지방선거 대구광역시장 후보로 이수찬 대구시당위원장을 단수 공천했다.
개혁신당 공천관리위원회는 지난 15일 열린 제10차 공천심사에서 이 위원장을 대구시장 후보로 확정했다고 밝혔다. 당은 이번 공천을 계기로 대구 지역 선거운동에도 본격적으로 나설 방침이다.
이수찬 후보는 공천 확정 직후 “대구 정치는 그동안 특정 정당이 장악해왔던 만큼, 이제는 시민의 삶을 바꿀 행정 혁신이 필요하다”고 강조했다. 이어 “현수막 중심의 구호식 정치를 넘어 진짜 변화를 체감할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
이 후보는 ‘1조 원 규모 청년창업 일자리 펀드’ 조성, 대구·경북 산업 생태계 연계를 통한 지역 경제 협력 확대, 그리고 행정체계 개편을 통한 권역별 균형 발전 등을 핵심 공약으로 내세웠다.
특히 행정체계 개편과 관련해서는 성서구 신설, 중·남·서구 통합, 달서구와 달성군 통합 등의 방안을 검토해 각 권역의 행정 효율성을 높이겠다는 계획이다. 이밖에도 영천댐의 수원을 활용한 상수원 문제 해결, 만촌동 명복공원 이전 및 복합 장사문화공원 조성 등도 공약에 포함됐다.
이 후보는 “청년창업 일자리 펀드는 단순 지원이 아니라 투자 방식으로 운영해 창업과 고용을 동시에 늘릴 것”이라며 “대구를 청년들이 다시 찾는 기회의 도시로 만들겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
한편 이 후보는 경북 성주 출신으로,대구 영신고와 경북대학교 사학과를 졸업했다. 현재 개혁신당 대구시당위원장을 맡고 있으며, 대구마하이주민센터 소장 등을 지냈다.

Meanwhile, Candidate Lee is a native of Seongju, North Gyeongsang Province, and graduated from Daegu Yeongsin High School and the Department of History at Kyungpook National University. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Daegu City Chapter of the New Reform Party and has previously served as the Director of the Daegu Mahai Immigrant Center.
