[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시는 고용노동부 주관 공모사업에 잇달아 선정되면서 관내 취약노동자들을 위한 복지 및 권익 보호 정책에 박차를 가한다.
‘취약노동자 교육 및 법률구조상담 지원사업’과 ‘취약노동자 일터개선 지원사업’ 등 2개 공모에 동시 선정되어 국비 3,600만 원을 확보하며 관내 취약노동자 지원 정책에 속도를 낼 전망이다.
‘취약노동자 교육 및 법률구조상담 지원사업’은 임금체불, 부당해고 등 권익 침해를 당하고도 비용과 절차의 어려움으로 대응하지 못했던 노동자들을 돕는다.
단순 상담에 그치지 않고 변호사와 노무사의 전문적인 자문을 통해 진정서 및 구제 신청서 작성 등 실질적인 후속 절차를 지원하는 것이 핵심이다.
또한 노동 생애 주기별 교육을 병행해 변화하는 노동 환경에 대한 대응력을 제고하고 노동권 침해를 사전에 예방할 계획이다. 올해 사업은 거제시 비정규직노동자지원센터에서 맡아 전문성을 더한다.
‘취약노동자 일터개선 지원사업’은 현재 운영 중인 노동자 작업복 공동세탁소를 더 쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 고도화하는 사업이다.
시는 무인 수거함을 확대 설치 하고, 수거부터 세탁․배송까지 한 번에 이뤄지는 ‘무인 수거 논스톱 서비스’를 도입해 하청노동자들의 세탁 접근성과 이용 편의를 확대할 계획이다.
거제시 관계자는 “경남에서 유일하게 두 공모사업에 동시 선정된 만큼, 노동자들이 피부로 느낄 수 있는 실질적인 복지 혜택을 제공할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 하청 및 취약계층 노동자들이 안심하고 일할 수 있는 노동 존중 문화를 확산시켜 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
