(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 오는 3월 18일부터 25일까지 8일간 연안해역 안전사고 예방을 위해 안전사고 위험예보 ‘관심’ 단계를 발령한다고 밝혔다.
인천해경에 따르면, 이번 기간은 대조기(3월 19일 ~ 3월 22일)에 해당해 평소보다 조수간만의 차가 크고 조류 흐름이 빨라, 갯벌 고립·추락·익수 등 연안사고 발생 위험이 높을 것으로 예상된다.
인천해경은 출입통제구역 등 관내 연안사고 위험구역 선제적 순찰을 강화하고 긴급출동태세를 유지하는 한편, 지자체와 협조해 연안 안전수칙 적극홍보(전광판 등) 및 연안사고 발생(취약)지역 예방순찰 등 안전관리를 실시할 예정이다.
인천해경 관계자는 “서해안은 조수간만의 차가 크고 물살이 빨라 위험하다”며 “갯벌활동(해루질) 시 구명조끼 등 개인 안전장비 착용 철저하고 반드시 2인 이상 활동해달라”고 당부했다.
또한 “사전에 갯벌활동이 가능한 구역인지 확인(출입통제구역 등)하고, 기상불량(안개)이나 야간 등 시야 확보 불량 시 갯벌활동 자제 해야한다”고 강조했다.
