(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 6월 17일부터 19일까지 3일간 인천 송도 컨벤시아에서 수도권 유일의 해양특화 전문 전시회인 ‘2026 국제 해양․안전대전(Korea Ocean Expo)’이 개최된다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 시와 해양경찰청(청장 직무대행 장인식)이 주최하고, 인천관광공사(사장 유지상)와 리드케이훼어스가 주관하는 이번 전시회는 국제전시협회(UFI) 인증을 획득한 글로벌 전시 복합 산업(MICE) 행사다.
지난 2024년 역대 최대 성과를 달성한 데 이어 올해 8회째를 맞아 한층 발전된 디지털·친환경 기술들을 선보일 예정이다.
전시회는 9개 테마관으로 구성된다.
기존 조선․선박, 선박운영장비, 해양 안전, 방산장비 분야는 물론 인공지능(AI) 자율운항, 친환경 선박, 드론 및 로봇 기반 해상 구조 솔루션 등 4차 산업혁명 기술이 집약된 미래 해양산업 트렌드를 한 자리에서 확인할 수 있다.
국내외 대표 조선소와 첨단 해양장비 기업 등 약 200개 기업이 참가해 역대 최대 규모로 열릴 전망이다.
특히, 글로벌 비즈니스 성과 극대화를 위한 프로그램도 대폭 강화된다.
세계 각국의 해양 치안기관 관계자와 해외 코스트가드(Coast Guard) 구매 담당자가 참여하는 수출 상담회를 통해 참가 기업의 해외 판로 개척을 지원한다.
또, 국내 해양경찰과 주요 조선소 구매 담당자와의 1대1 상담회를 확대 운영해 실질적인 계약 성과 창출을 도모할 계획이다.
전시 기간에는 해양산업의 대표 콘퍼런스인 ‘코마린콘퍼런스’와‘차세대 함정 발전 콘퍼런스’등 전문 대형 콘퍼런스와 세미나도 함께 열린다.
이를 통해 해양안전 정책과 기술 동향을 공유하고, 글로벌 전문가 간 지식 교류의 장이 마련될 것으로 기대된다.
유정복 시장은 “2026 국제 해양·안전대전은 급변하는 해양·조선 산업 환경 속에서 국내외 기업들이 글로벌 산업 동향과 기술 표준을 공유하는 중요한 플랫폼이 될 것”이라며 “인천이 해양 산업의 글로벌 허브로 확고히 자리매김할 수 있도록 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Furthermore, plans are in place to facilitate tangible contract outcomes by expanding one-on-one consultations between the Korean Coast Guard and purchasing managers from major shipyards. During the exhibition period, major specialized conferences and seminars will also be held, including the ‘KOMARIN Conference,’ a representative conference of the maritime industry, and the ‘Next Generation Vessel Development Conference.’ It is expected that these events will provide a platform for sharing maritime safety policies and technological trends, as well as facilitating knowledge exchange among global experts.
