【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시가 17일 서울 지하철 3호선 압구정역에 로컬푸드 직매장 ‘충주씨샵’ 2호점이 정식 개장했다고 밝혔다.
이번 매장은 충주시와 서울교통공사가 도농 상생과 농산물 직거래 확대를 위해 추진한 협력사업으로, 수도권 시민들에게 충주 농산물을 가까이에서 소개하기 위해 마련됐다.
시는 앞서 2024년 10월 서울교통공사와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 지하철 역사 내 유휴 상가를 활용한 로컬푸드 직매장 설치와 운영, 직거래 행사 우선 배정, 정책 홍보 협력 등에서 협력하기로 했다.
압구정역 매장에서는 로컬푸드 직매장에 참여하는 지역 농가가 생산한 사과, 복숭아 등 제철 농산물과 꿀, 충주한과, 충주축협 한우·한돈 등 충주 농특산물을 판매한다.
또한 출하 농산물은 정기적인 잔류농약 검사로 안전성을 확보할 계획이다.
매장은 일요일을 제외하고 매일 오전 10시부터 오후 8시까지 운영된다.
권은하 충주시 농식품유통과장은 “신선하고 안전한 충주 농산물을 서울 시민들에게 직접 소개함으로써 지역 농가 소득 증대와 소비자 신뢰 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 지방과 수도권이 함께 성장하는 상생 유통 모델을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 충주시는 2023년 탄금공원 충주씨샵을 통해 누적 매출 62억 원, 방문객 48만 명을 기록했으며, 2025년 7월 개장한 서울 지하철 상계역 매장도 누적 매출 4억 원, 방문객 6만5천 명을 기록하며 꾸준한 성과를 이어가고 있다.
