자동차 탄소포인트제는 운전자가 기준 주행거리 대비 실제 주행거리를 줄여 온실가스 감축에 기여할 경우 감축 실적에 따라 인센티브를 지급하는 온실가스 감축 실천 프로그램이다.
참여자는 가입 당시 차량 주행거리로 산정한 일평균 주행거리와 참여 기간 일평균 주행거리를 비교해 주행거리를 줄인 경우 감축 실적에 따라 최대 10만 원의 인센티브를 받을 수 있다.
참여 대상은 증평군에 등록된 비사업용 승용차와 12인승 이하 승합차이며, 전기차·수소차·하이브리드 등 친환경 차량은 제외된다.
참여를 희망하는 군민은 자동차 탄소포인트제 누리집을 통해 온라인으로 신청할 수 있다.
