【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 17일, 청소년 선도와 학교폭력 예방을 위해 충청북도자율방범연합회와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고 지역사회와 협력한 학생 안전망 구축에 나선다.
이번 협약은 학교와 지역사회가 함께 참여하는 협력 체계를 구축해 청소년 비행과 학교폭력을 예방하고, 학생들이 보다 안전한 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 추진됐다.
양 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲학교폭력 예방 및 청소년 선도 활동 ▲학교 주변 순찰 및 학생 안전 보호 ▲청소년 유해환경 개선 ▲학교폭력 예방 캠페인 및 홍보 활동 ▲청소년 대상 범죄 예방 교육 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 계획이다.
특히 자율방범대는 지역사회 순찰 활동 경험을 바탕으로 학교 주변 안전 활동과 청소년 보호 활동에 적극 참여하고, 교육청은 학교폭력 예방 교육과 정책 지원을 통해 학생 안전을 위한 협력 체계를 강화할 예정이다.
김영석 충북자율방범연합회장은 “학생들의 안전은 지역사회가 함께 지켜야 할 중요한 과제”라며 “앞으로 학교와 협력해 학교 주변 순찰과 청소년 보호 활동에 적극 참여하겠다.”라고 말했다.
윤건영 교육감은 “학생들이 안전하게 배우며 성장하기 위해서는 학교의 노력만으로는 충분하지 않으며 학교와 지역사회가 함께 손을 맞잡을 때 학생들의 일상은 더 안전해지고 배움도 더욱 건강하게 이어질 수 있다.”라며 “이번 협약을 계기로 충북자율방범연합회와 협력해 학생들이 더욱 안전한 환경에서 배우고 성장할 수 있도록 함께 힘을 모아가겠다.”라고 말했다.
