글로벌 공급 과잉과 중동 분쟁 등 겹악재로 시름하는 서산 대산석유화학단지를 살리기 위해 충청남도가 대규모 지원 대책을 본격 가동한다.
정부가 발표한 2조 1천억 원 규모의 지원 패키지와 발맞춰, 도 차원에서도 5대 중점 사업을 통해 산업 구조 전환과 고용 안정을 동시에 꾀한다는 방침이다.
충남도는 당장 생계 위기에 직면한 근로자들을 위해 40억 원 규모의 단기 지원책을 실시한다. 이를 위해 17일 대산보건지소에 전용 접수센터를 열고 본격적인 신청을 받는다.
지원 대상은 서산 지역의 건설·플랜트 일용직 및 화물운송 종사자 5,000명으로, 1인당 50만 원의 지원금이 지급된다.
또한 이직이나 전직을 준비하는 근로자 350명에게는 최대 300만 원을, 이들을 신규 채용하는 기업에는 1인당 60만 원의 채용 장려금을 지원한다. 실제 지급은 내달 3일부터 순차적으로 진행될 예정이다.
