【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북대학교 국제교류본부가 핀란드 Häme University of Applied Sciences(HAMK) 방문단을 접견하고 양 대학 간 교류 협력 확대에 나섰다.
충북대 국제교류본부는 지난 3월 17일 HAMK 방문단과 만나 학술 교류 및 학생 교류 프로그램 운영 가능성에 대해 논의하고, 향후 양교 간 공식 학술 교류 협정(MoU) 체결을 추진하기로 했다고 밝혔다.
이날 면담에는 옥광 국제교류본부장과 Lassi Martikainen 비즈니스·디자인·기술대학장이 참석해 실질적인 협력 방안을 중심으로 의견을 교환했다.
양 대학은 HAMK의 ‘Sustainable Urban Design’(영어 과정)과 ‘Joint Design Studio’ 프로그램을 중심으로 전공 연계 가능성을 검토하고, 교환학생 프로그램 운영 등 학생 교류 활성화 방안을 중점적으로 협의했다.
또한 교육과정 연계, 단기·장기 프로그램 개발 등 다양한 국제화 협력 모델을 공동 발굴해 나가기로 했다.
옥광 국제교류본부장은 “이번 HAMK 방문단과의 면담을 통해 양 대학 간 협력 기반을 마련하게 되어 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “향후 공식 협정 체결을 통해 학생 교류를 비롯한 다양한 국제 협력 프로그램을 적극 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, Häme University of Applied Sciences는 핀란드의 대표적인 응용과학대학으로 실무 중심 교육과 산학협력 프로그램을 활발히 운영하고 있으며, 충북대학교와의 협정 체결을 통해 본격적인 교류 협력이 추진될 전망이다.
