<브레이크뉴스 태백 = 김일웅 기자> 태백시가 지역 사회 전반에 성평등 문화를 확산하고 시민들의 인식 개선을 도모하기 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.
19일 태백시에 따르면, 시는 지난 17일 시청 회의실에서 ‘2026년 태백시 양성평등기금 운용 심의위원회’를 개최하고 올해 적극 추진할 양성평등 공모사업 4개를 최종 선정했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 선정된 알찬 사업은 ▲태백 가정폭력·성폭력 통합상담소의 ‘온 세대 성평등 공감 프로젝트’ ▲태백시 여성단체협의회의 ‘여성 리더 역량 강화 교육’ ▲태백시 청소년상담복지센터의 ‘청소년 성평등 문화학교’ ▲태백시 가족센터의 ‘여성 디지털 창작 역량 강화 과정’ 등이다.
해당 공모사업들은 영유아 대상 성폭력 예방 인형극부터 청소년 대상 교육 및 캠페인, 여성 리더십 육성, 경력단절 여성을 위한 맞춤형 디지털 역량 강화 교육까지 전 세대를 아우르는 프로그램으로 알차게 구성됐다.
심의위원회는 이날 선정된 단체들이 계획된 사업을 내실 있게 추진할 수 있도록 철저한 사업 관리와 현장 점검을 거듭 당부했다. 특히, 단발성 행사에 그치지 않고 지속 가능한 지역 협력 네트워크로 굳건히 이어질 수 있도록 노력해 줄 것을 강조했다.
장영미 태백시 여성친화팀장은 “이번 다채로운 공모사업을 통해 지역 사회 곳곳에 올바른 성평등 문화가 튼튼하게 뿌리내리고, 여성의 사회 참여가 한층 활발해지기를 기대한다”며, “선정된 사업들이 차질 없이 원활하게 추진될 수 있도록 전폭적인 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
