【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=‘미래 대구 AX 정책 포럼’ 4차 행사가 지난 17일 수성알파시티 내 대구디지털혁신진흥원에서 열렸다.
이번 행사에는 대경ICT산업협회, 대경로봇기업진흥협회, 한국IT여성기업인협회 영남지회, 더불어민주당 대구시당 등 산·학·연·정 관계자와 업계, 학계 인사 등 약 30명이 참석했다.
포럼에서는 지난해 예비타당성조사 면제 사업으로 확정된 5,510억 원 규모의 ‘지역거점 혁신 AX 연구사업’ 현황 및 향후 추진 방향이 공유됐다. 이 자리에서는 AI 로봇, 의료·헬스케어 등 24개 혁신 과제가 제시됐으며, 지역 주도 사업 추진을 위한 유관 기관간 협력 체계의 필요성도 강조됐다.
참석자들은 예산 확보에 긍정적인 평가를 내리면서도 지역 기업 참여 확대, 컨소시엄 구성, 인력 양성 등 실질적인 실행 기반 마련이 중요하다고 입을 모았다. 기술 개발에 더해 정책 연계와 산업 간 협업 역시 반드시 병행돼야 한다는 의견도 나왔다.
또한 포럼 참석자들은 향후 정책 제안, 공약 반영, 산업 간 교류 확대 등을 통해 지속적인 협력 체계를 이어가기로 했다.
하지만 이번 대규모 예산 확보에 대한 기대와는 별개로, 초기 기획의 구체성, 운영 체계, 지역 권한 이양 등에 대한 우려도 제기됐다. 특히 사업이 실제로 지역 성장동력으로 자리 잡기 위해선 중앙과 지방의 역할이 명확히 정립되고, 사업 집행과 평가 과정의 투명성이 담보돼야 한다는 지적이 나왔다.
허소 위원장은 “지역 산업 발전과 예산 확보를 위해 정책적 지원을 지속하겠다”고 밝혔으며, 최종태 대경ICT산업협회장은 “산·학·연·정의 협력과 현장 중심 논의의 중요성”을 거듭 강조했다.

The 4th ‘Future Daegu AX Policy Forum’ was held on the 17th at the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency within Suseong Alpha City.

Twenty-four innovation tasks, including AI robots and medical/healthcare, were presented, and the need for a cooperative framework among relevant institutions to promote region-led projects was emphasized.
While attendees gave a positive assessment of the budget securing, they unanimously agreed that establishing a foundation for practical implementation—such as expanding local corporate participation, forming consortia, and training the workforce—is crucial. Opinions were also expressed that policy linkages and inter-industry collaboration must be pursued in parallel with technology development. In addition, forum participants agreed to maintain a continuous cooperative framework through future policy proposals, the incorporation of pledges, and the expansion of inter-industry exchanges.
However, separate from the expectations regarding the securing of this large-scale budget, concerns were also raised regarding the specificity of the initial planning, the operational system, and the delegation of regional authority. In particular, it was pointed out that for the project to truly establish itself as a driving force for regional growth, the roles of the central and local governments must be clearly defined, and transparency in the project execution and evaluation processes must be guaranteed.
Chairperson Heo So stated, "We will continue to provide policy support for regional industrial development and budget securing," while Choi Jong-tae, President of the Daegyeong ICT Industry Association, repeatedly emphasized the "importance of cooperation among industry, academia, research institutes, and government, as well as field-oriented discussions."
