경북도민행복대학 고령군 캠퍼스 개강…38명 입학

경북과학대학교(총장 정은재)는 3월 19일 고령군 대가야문화누리 가야금홀에서 ‘2026년 경북도민행복대학 고령군 캠퍼스’ 5기 개강식을 개최하고 본격적인 교육과정 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이날 개강식에는 이남철 고령군수를 비롯한 군 관계자와 군의원들이 참석해 입학생들을 격려했으며, 대학 측에서는 정은재 총장 등 관계자들이 교육 운영 계획을 소개했다.

경북도민행복대학은 경상북도가 추진하는 평생학습 프로그램으로, 경북학·시민학·미래학·인문학·사회경제·생활환경·문화예술 등 7개 분야를 1·2학기 30주 과정으로 운영한다. 지역 주민의 역량 강화와 공동체 활성화를 목표로 하고 있다.

이번 5기에는 38명의 군민이 입학해 100세 시대 생애 설계와 건강관리, 디지털 기기 활용, 지역문화 이해, 예술·교양 강좌 등 다양한 교육과정을 이수하게 된다.

교육생들은 출석 등 일정 요건을 충족할 경우 연말 학위수여식을 통해 명예도민학사 학위를 받게 된다.

A lifelong learning program operated by Gyeongbuk Science University has begun a new semester in Goryeong-gun.

Gyeongbuk Science University (President Jeong Eun-jae) announced that it held the opening ceremony for the 5th cohort of the ‘2026 Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Goryeong Campus’ at the Gayageum Hall of Daegaya Culture Nuri in Goryeong-gun on March 19 and has commenced full-scale educational program operations.

Goryeong County Mayor Lee Nam-cheol, along with county officials and council members, attended the opening ceremony to encourage the new students. On the university side, President Jeong Eun-jae and other officials introduced the educational operation plan.

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University is a lifelong learning program promoted by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It operates 30-week courses across two semesters in seven fields: Gyeongbuk Studies, Civic Studies, Future Studies, Humanities, Socio-Economics, Living Environment, and Culture and Arts. Its goal is to strengthen the capabilities of local residents and revitalize the community.

For this 5th cohort, 38 county residents have enrolled to complete a diverse curriculum covering life planning for the centenarian era, health management, the use of digital devices, understanding local culture, and arts and liberal arts courses.

If the trainees meet certain requirements, such as attendance, they will receive an honorary Bachelor of Arts degree at a year-end graduation ceremony.
