제339회 임시회서 의원 전원 찬성으로 채택 '인구 중심 획정 반대'

충남 서천군의회가 충청남도 도의원 선거구 획정 논의와 관련해, 농어촌 지역의 특수성을 무시한 의석수 감축 시도를 저지하기 위해 집단행동에 나섰다.
서천군의회는 18일 오후 제339회 긴급 임시회를 소집하고, 의원 7명 전원 찬성으로 ‘충청남도 도의원 서천군 선거구 유지 촉구 건의안’을 공식 채택했다. 이번 건의안은 인구수만을 기준으로 한 기계적 선거구 획정이 농어촌 지역의 대표성을 심각하게 훼손한다는 위기감에서 비롯됐다.
