충남 당진시가 충남도 ‘2026년 지역단위 농촌관광 활성화 지원’ 공모에 선정되며, 지역 농촌체험휴양마을을 연계한 체류형 여행 프로그램 ‘Live in 당진, 시골 미션투어’ 운영에 나선다.
이번 사업은 당진의 자연과 특산물을 활용해 체험·관광·식사·숙박이 결합된 몰입형 관광 콘텐츠를 제공한다. 향후 2년간 총 2억 4,000만 원(국비 1억 2,000만 원 포함)을 투입, 당진시농촌체험휴양마을협의회와 협력해 다양한 미션 중심 프로그램을 선보일 예정이다.
‘시골 미션투어’는 방문객이 농촌에서 직접 미션을 수행하며 지역 자원을 체험하도록 설계됐다. 예를 들어 고구마·사과 등 당진 특산물 수확 체험, 전통 가공식품 만들기, 농가 민박 체험 등을 통해 농촌 생활을 생생히 느끼고 숙박까지 연계된다.
이를 통해 관광객 참여도를 높이고, 단발성 방문이 아닌 장기 체류로 지역 경제를 활성화할 전망이다.
당진시는 기존 5개 농촌체험휴양마을의 개별 프로그램을 2024년 3월 협의회 출범 이후 통합 운영하며 기반을 닦아왔다. 지난해 해나루고구마 홍보 행사, 도농교류의 날, 충남 고향마실 한마당 등에서 협업 성과를 거두며 농촌관광 활성화를 이끌었다.
