대전광역시는 20일 옛 충남도청 대회의실에서 시 소속 사업장 관리자와 현장 작업자들을 대상으로 ‘밀폐공간 질식재해 예방 안전보건교육’을 진행했다.
이번 교육은 밀폐공간 작업 중 발생할 수 있는 질식 및 중독 사고 등 중대산업재해를 사전에 차단하고, 근로자들이 현장에서 즉각적으로 대응할 수 있는 능력을 키우기 위해 기획됐다.
교육의 주요 내용은 △밀폐공간 내 주요 위험 요인 분석 △실제 질식재해 발생 사례 공유 △안전 작업 절차 및 필수 보호조치 △비상 상황 발생 시 대응 요령 등으로 구성됐다.

대전시는 재해 예방을 위한 3대 핵심 안전관리 절차로 △작업 전 산소 및 유해가스 농도 측정 △지속적인 충분한 환기 △현장 감시인 배치를 꼽으며, 이를 철저히 준수할 것을 강력히 권고했다.
