논산시가 디지털 기술 분야 인재를 키우기 위한 교육과정을 본격적으로 시작했다. 지역 학생들이 인공지능과 소프트웨어를 보다 일찍 접하고, 이를 진로와 역량으로 연결할 수 있도록 하겠다는 취지다.
논산시는 21일 건양대학교 글로컬캠퍼스에서 ‘미래인재 양성 교육’ 입학식을 열었다. 이날 행사에는 백성현 논산시장과 김용석 건양대 AI·SW융합대학장, 이혜경 논산계룡교육지원청 교육장 등 관계자와 학생, 학부모 150여 명이 참석했다.
이번 교육은 논산·계룡·공주·금산·부여·서천 등 충남 서남부권 초등학교 3학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 학생 120명을 대상으로 한다. 수업은 3월 21일부터 7월 11일까지 16주 동안 매주 토요일 진행된다.
교육과정은 연령별 수준에 맞춰 나뉜다. 초등 저학년은 마이크로비트 등을 활용한 기초 과정, 초등 고학년은 자율주행 알티노와 로블룩스 등을 활용한 실습 과정, 중·고등학생은 의료 데이터 머신러닝 중심의 심화 과정으로 운영된다. 기초 체험에서 응용 학습으로 이어지는 구조를 갖춰 교육 효과를 높이겠다는 구상이다.
