[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 이낙연 전 국무총리가 현 정부의 움직임을 두고 "이제 공소취소인가"라며 강하게 비판했다.
그는 최근 자신의 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 올린 글에서 집권세력이 이재명 대통령 관련 사건 대부분을 국정조사 대상으로 삼아 공소취소를 추진하려는 움직임이 보인다고 지적했다.
이 전 총리는 “공소취소는 1심 판결 이전에 가능하다”며 “그동안 재판을 의도적으로 지연시켜 선거법 위반과 위증교사를 제외한 사건들이 모두 대상이 될 수 있도록 만들었다”고 주장했다. 그는 이를 “사법파괴의 완결편”이라 표현하며, 이번 사태가 단순한 법적 절차를 넘어 사법 질서를 근본적으로 흔드는 행위라고 비판했다.
그는 또한 “대통령 재판은 모두 정지됐고, 경찰과 검사, 판사, 대법원장까지 법왜곡죄로 고소 고발할 수 있게 됐다”며 “자기사람 중심의 대법원 구성이 유리한 판결을 유도하고 있다”고 말했다. 이어 “대법원이 유죄를 내도 헌법재판소에서 뒤집을 수 있게 된 구조”라며 “결국 그마저 부족하다고 판단해 공소취소를 시도하는 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
이 전 총리는 공소취소 근거로 제시되는 ‘윤석열 검찰의 조작수사’ 주장에 대해서도 의문을 제기했다. 그는 “만약 모든 것이 조작이라면, 왜 법원은 공범들에게 유죄의 중형을 선고했는가”라며 “재판을 피하고 공소취소를 선택하는 이유를 납득하기 어렵다”고 말했다.
그는 “죄는 용서할 수는 있어도 취소할 수는 없다. 법의 정신과 세상의 상식이 무너지고 있다”고 개탄했다. 이 전 총리는 “당대 권력을 위해 사법체계와 법의 정신을 파괴한다면, 훗날 대한민국은 어떤 나라로 남을지 의문”이라며 “침묵하는 정치권과 원로들에게 묻는다”라고 글을 맺었다.

Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon strongly criticized what he described as the administration’s move to cancel prosecutions involving President Lee Jae-myung, warning that such actions amount to the destruction of judicial integrity.
In a recent social media post titled “Is it now about dropping prosecutions?”, Lee argued that the ruling bloc has launched a parliamentary investigation covering nearly all cases related to President Lee as a prelude to canceling indictments before verdicts are reached.
He noted that “a cancellation of prosecution is possible only before the first trial ruling” and claimed that “the government deliberately delayed proceedings so that most of the cases, except for election law violations and perjury, could be eligible.” Lee called this “the final stage of judicial collapse,” saying it goes beyond politics to undermine the country’s legal foundations.
Lee further alleged that all presidential trials have been halted and that “even police, prosecutors, judges, and the chief justice can now be charged with distorting the law.” He criticized what he described as the expansion of the Supreme Court to install “friendly justices” who might issue favorable rulings, adding that “even if the Supreme Court finds guilt, the Constitutional Court can overturn it.” He warned that the move toward canceling prosecutions represents “the completion of both political shielding and the destruction of the judiciary.”
Lee expressed skepticism about claims that the indictments were the result of politically motivated investigations under former President Yoon Suk Yeol. “If all of this was fabricated, how can we explain the heavy sentences given to those convicted as accomplices?” he asked. “If the government truly believes these cases were fabricated, why avoid trial and instead choose to cancel the indictments?”
He lamented that “a crime may be forgiven, but it cannot be erased,” adding that “the spirit of the law and the common sense of society are collapsing.” Former Prime Minister Lee concluded, “If the judicial system and the rule of law are destroyed for the sake of those in power today, what kind of nation will Korea become in the future? I ask this of the political leaders and elders who remain silent.”
