【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구가 지역 창업기업의 해외 진출과 브랜드 경쟁력 강화를 위해 글로벌 어워즈 컨설팅 지원 사업을 시행한다.
북구청에 따르면, 이번 사업은 CES 혁신상과 에디슨 어워즈 등 국제 공모전에 지역 창업기업이 참가할 수 있도록 컨설팅과 각종 지원을 제공하는 것이 골자다. 모집 기간은 3월 23일부터 4월 3일 오후 6시까지이며, 우수 창업기업 4개사를 뽑을 예정이다.
지원 대상은 창업 7년 미만으로, 북구 내 본사, 지사, 공장, 연구소 중 한 곳 이상 주소를 둔 기업이다. 현재 북구에 있지 않더라도 선정 후 한 달 이내에 북구로 이전이 가능하면 신청할 수 있다.
선정된 기업은 전문 컨설턴트의 1대1 맞춤 컨설팅을 받을 수 있고, 영문 홍보 영상 제작이나 출품 및 접수비 지원 등 글로벌 어워즈 도전을 위한 전 과정이 지원된다. 구청은 이를 통해 기업의 수상 가능성을 높이고, 해외 시장 개척과 투자 유치 등 실질적 성과로 이어질 것으로 기대하고 있다.
배광식 북구청장은 “지역 창업기업이 세계 시장에서 기술력을 인정받을 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”며 “국제 무대 진출이 지역 경제 성장의 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Daegu Buk-gu is launching a Global Awards Consulting Support Program to facilitate the overseas expansion of local startups and strengthen their brand competitiveness.
According to the Buk-gu Office, the core of this initiative is to provide consulting and various forms of support to enable local startups to participate in international competitions, such as the CES Innovation Awards and the Edison Awards. Selected companies will receive personalized one-on-one consulting from professional consultants, as well as full support for the entire process of challenging for Global Awards, including the production of English promotional videos and assistance with submission and application fees. The District Office expects this initiative to increase the companies' chances of winning and lead to tangible results, such as pioneering overseas markets and attracting investment. Buk-gu District Mayor Bae Gwang-sik stated, “We will actively support local startups so that their technological capabilities can be recognized in the global market,” adding that “entering the international stage will serve as an important catalyst for regional economic growth.”
