【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=국립한국교통대학교는 지난 3월 20일, AI에듀테크융합교육원에서 ㈜툰즈와 ‘지역 AI 디지털 포용교육 생태계 확장과 AI 에듀테크 기반 사각지대 없는 AI 디지털 보편교육을 위한 업무협약(이하 협약)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 AI 기술 접근과 활용에서 소외되기 쉬운 지역 주민과 디지털 약자를 위한 체험 중심의 AI 디지털 포용교육 생태계를 지역사회 전반으로 확장하기 위한 양 기관의 전략적 협력이다.
AI에듀테크융합교육원은 모두를 위한 AI 디지털 보편교육을 통해 AI 접근 및 활용 격차를 해소하고, 디지털 약자를 포함한 지역 주민의 AI 디지털 리터러시 함양을 위한 체험 중심 교육 프로그램을 공교육을 넘어 지역사회로 확대해 나가고 있다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 AI에듀테크융합교육원이 구축한 AI 디지털 포용교육 모델을 기반으로 ▲AI 디지털 리터러시 역량 강화 ▲AI 디지털 시민성 함양 ▲AI 디지털 코치 양성 ▲AI 디지털 포용교육을 위한 체험 공간 공동 활용 등을 추진하기로 했으며, 이를 통해 지역사회 AI 디지털 평생학습 분야에서의 협력을 본격화할 계획이다.
AI에듀테크융합교육원 김인숙 원장은 “AI 디지털 격차의 사각지대에 놓인 지역 주민들에게 AI 체험교육의 기회를 확대하고, 실증된 AI 포용교육 플랫폼을 기반으로 지역사회 기관과 연대해 누구나 AI 시대의 능동적 주체로 성장할 수 있는 교육 생태계를 구축하는 것이 중요하다”라며 “앞으로도 공교육에서 축적한 AI 에듀테크 기반 교육 모델을 지역사회로 확장해 디지털 소외 없이 누구나 AI를 이해하고 활용할 수 있는 AI 디지털 보편교육 생태계를 확대해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.
한편, 국립한국교통대학교 AI에듀테크융합교육원은 3차원 하이플렉스 기반 에듀테크 소프트랩을 구축해 공교육의 AX·DX를 선도하는 핵심 거점으로 자리매김하고 있으며, AI 에듀테크 기반 체험·실습형 교육을 통해 지역사회 전반의 AI 디지털 포용교육 확산을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.
