브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 청소년의 안전하고 쾌적한 학습환경 조성을 위해 ‘KB청소년센터 리모델링 사업’ 지원 대상 시설 60개소를 모집한다고 24일 밝혔다.
‘KB청소년센터’는 노후된 유휴공간을 청소년 맞춤형 학습공간으로 개선하는 사회공헌 프로그램이다. 청소년들이 보다 나은 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 지원하며, ‘국민과 함께 더 나은 대한민국을 만들어 가겠다’는 취지의 ‘KB국민행복 희망 프로젝트’의 일환으로 운영되고 있다.
KB국민은행은 2017년 ‘KB지역아동센터’ 사업을 시작으로 지원 대상을 청소년 복지시설까지 확대해 왔으며, 현재까지 전국 280개 시설의 환경 개선 공사를 진행했다.
특히, 올해는 비수도권 지역 지원을 확대해 지역 간 교육 및 문화 격차를 완화하고, 청소년들이 보다 균등한 교육 환경을 누릴 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.
스마트 학습공간 조성뿐만 아니라, 화재감지기 및 방염벽지 설치 등 안전 환경 개선, 진로 탐색 및 직업 체험 프로그램 운영을 위한 학습 활동비도 지원한다.
지원 신청은 아동·청소년 복지시설을 대상으로 오는 4월 3일까지 부스러기사랑나눔회 홈페이지에서 가능하다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “청소년들이 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 학습하며 미래를 준비하길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 포용금융 실천을 통해 지역 간 균형 발전을 지원하고 교육 격차 해소에 기여해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
